Pre-Oviedo

I have been looking forward to this trip for a long time and can't believe its finally here! We've been hopping countries for the past 10 days and I am exhausted! We've been to London, Paris, Prague, Amsterdam, and Switzerland so far. I cannot wait to get to one place where I can have my own space and just stay there. Not to say the traveling hasn't been amazing because it has, but a place to call 'home' is really nice. I am nervous that I haven't spoken Spanish in a while and I won't be able to communicate with my family. I didn't bring my book or notes so my crutches are gone, but I think it will be like riding a bike and all come back. figure that it is going to be difficult but a lot of nodding and smiling will help. I've had exchange students in my grandma's house that barely spoke English, and I noticed their experience depended on how they embraced it. I think it's a big advantage to me to have seen students in the position I will be in. I know it will be hard, but I'm not too worried. From what I've heard Spain is glorious and a little language barrier can't ruin that. I do hope it is warmer than it has been on the rest of the trip. I really hope that I can meet some locals and not only hang out with the American students. It will help my Spanish and overall experience I think.
